Science teacher at UCHS, Mr. Paul Orbe, has been awarded the opportunity to participate in the Fulbright program. The Fulbright program is for the entire year and requires him to develop a separate Chemistry curriculum that incorporates global issues.
Union City High School, in partnership with Hudson County Community College, offers seniors interested in pursuing careers various industries the opportunity to gain knowledge, hands-on experience, and college credits while still in high school. Students selected for the programs earn up to 6 to 18 college credits, depending on which program, and are prepared for a career in the field through paid internships, certification tests, and/or specialized training.
Our esports teacher Gerry Arias won the HSEL award to build an esports lab. That took place last May. The lab is up and running for our esports team SY21-22.
