It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved friend, Mehdi Hashemi, who left this world on December 25, 2024, at the age of 44. Born on July 12, 1980, Mehdi was a kind and peaceful soul whose impact on those around him will be felt for years to come.

We are pleased to announce the 2025 Monastery Fun Run to kick off the start of the 2025 City of Union City Centennial Celebration! It's going to be an exceptional day, so please bring family and friends.

Please be advised that the Union City Board of Education, the Office of Community Relations in conjunction with Mayor Brian P. Stack along with the Board of Commissioners and in partnership with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and the Hudson County Department of Human Services will be hosting an "Affordable Healthcare Coverage Enrollment" event on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Union City High School inside the Gymnasium.
